New features and notable improvements across Aerolync: the platform, the Pilot App, the website widget and these docs. Newest first.

16 September 2026 — Widget auto-accept, timezone default and smarter notifications

• Widget — the default timezone is now configurable per widget: UTC (aviation standard) or the visitor's local time, active until the visitor picks a timezone themselves. When the active timezone is not the visitor's local time, its abbreviation is shown next to the sunrise/sunset times and the opening hours.
• Auto-accept — optionally approve incoming PPR requests automatically: the pilot immediately receives the approval e-mail and the flight lands in the scheduler as accepted; your team is still notified of every request.
• Notifications — PPR request notifications can now go to fixed addresses, to everyone holding selected roles or labels, and to the aerodrome commander on duty at the time of the request.

16 September 2026 — Document revisions and read confirmation

• Everywhere documents live — the same document experience now applies in Drive, on an aircraft's Documents tab (Fleet) and on a student's Documents tab (Flight Training): a clean list with the validity on the right, a preview with the document panel above it, revisions per document, and a slide-up preview on small screens.

• Drive — documents now have full revision control: upload a new revision of an existing document (Rev A, Rev B, ...) and edit a description without re-uploading. The document list stays compact; a panel above the preview shows a revision dropdown (view and download any older revision), the validity of the selected revision and all document actions. Deleting a document now cleans up all its revisions and files. See the documentation.
• Read confirmation — mark a document as requiring confirmation: pilots must actively confirm "I have read & understood" per revision in the Pilot App, and the read status panel shows who viewed and who confirmed, per revision. Built for operations manuals and AOC compliance.
• Pilot App — the Drive list now shows the revision letter, a NEW badge on unread documents and an UPDATED badge when a new revision was published, plus the confirmation status.
• Fleet — aircraft documents gained the same revision flow: upload new revisions per document and browse their history from the aircraft's Documents tab.

15 September 2026 — Terminal live updates, widget polish and scheduler protection

• Terminal (register of flights) — the terminal screen now updates itself live: registrations, opening/closing, runway changes and delegation done in the app appear within seconds, and after a software release the terminal reloads to the new version automatically. The active runway is shown in the header bar, and aerodrome commanders can switch the active runway directly on the terminal with the new RWY button.
• Widget — new Advanced tab in the widget settings (auto-open with a delay picker, allowed domains); the footer now links to aerolync.com; auto-open waits 3 seconds by default; the open button is always shown so pilots can find the widget. The widget now also shields itself from site-wide CSS rules on the host website (for example global scrollbar or typography styling), so it looks identical on every site.
• Scheduler — the PPR line is now fully protected: it cannot be booked by dragging, and it no longer appears in the booking form's resource list.
• Pilot App: licences — you can now attach a PDF to a licence, ratings or endorsement, next to photos; iPhone HEIC photos are accepted and converted automatically. Saving a licence without a type or with an invalid date now shows a clear message instead of failing silently.
• Docs — new PPR quick start guiding you from module activation to a working website widget, including the scheduler calendar, PPR line, opening hours and notifications. The AI assistant is now also available on phones and tablets: tap Ask AI at the bottom right to open it as a full-screen chat. The website widget and widget integration pages now carry a live demo of the widget, so you can try it before embedding it.

15 September 2026 — Widget links and Pilot App profile

• Widget — the Pilot Info tab can now show external links (for example to pages on your aerodrome website), configured in the widget settings with a title and URL and displayed alongside the documents. The duty contact's phone number on Live Status is now shown in a readable, formatted form.
• Pilot App: profile photo — a new rotate button next to edit and delete turns the photo 90 degrees per tap, for uploads that come in sideways.
• Pilot App: personal data — your organisation-assigned ID is now shown at the top of the Personal data tab, read-only.

14 September 2026 — Week and month views in the scheduler

• Platform — the scheduler gained a Week view (days as columns, aircraft colour-coded, one block per booking) and a Month view, next to the existing day view. Both share the selected calendar and date with the day view, and offer a filter for a single aircraft or resource.
• With an aircraft selected, clicking or dragging a free time slot in the week view opens the booking form directly; schedule blocks and past hours are greyed out and protected, just like the day view. Clicking a booking opens the familiar edit window; clicking a day in the month view jumps straight to that day. The aircraft/resource choice is remembered per user, across views and sessions. • Mobile — the platform's filter bar now collapses into a filter button on small screens, opening a full-width panel with comfortable touch targets — in every module. The week and month views keep readable day columns with horizontal scrolling, and the week's hour column stays fixed while scrolling.

14 September 2026 — PPR fine-tuning and developer docs

• Platform — the PPR request screen was redesigned for faster handling: the pilot's contact details on top with click-to-mail and click-to-call, the key flight facts (ETA, ETD, origin, POB) in a highlighted strip, the aircraft registration as title, and the same section icons the pilot sees in the widget. The request list is now sorted chronologically by ETA, and the layout adapts properly to narrower screens.
• Pilot App — the PPR calendar line is a back-office instrument and is no longer shown to pilots, neither in the scheduler nor as a bookable resource.
• Widget — the opening hours on the Pilot Info tab now show a clean weekday schedule for the current season, with upcoming exception dates listed separately; sunrise and sunset appear as words in the visitor's language.
• Docs — new Developer section with a complete widget integration reference for web developers, and this What's new page.

12 September 2026 — Opening hours

• Settings — new Opening hours editor under Settings → Aerodrome: define seasons (with date ranges that may cross the year boundary), a weekly schedule with fixed times or sunrise/sunset, exception dates for holidays and events, and the aerodrome time zone. See the documentation.
• Widget — visiting pilots see your opening hours in the widget, and get a clear warning when their arrival time falls outside them. Optionally, requests outside opening hours can be blocked entirely.
• Platform — requests with an ETA outside your opening hours are flagged in the request detail and in the staff notification e-mail.
• PPR form — the noise certificate field now covers ICAO Annex 16 chapters 3, 4, 6, 8, 13 and 14, each with a short description, in all 25 languages.

11 September 2026 — Widget configuration and 25 languages

• Widget — the interface is now available in 25 European languages, automatically matching the visitor's language.
• Widget settings — completely rebuilt: tab-based configuration (General, Live Status, PPR Request, Pilot Info), per-field show/required control, drag-and-drop document upload and a ready-to-copy embed code.
• Self-provisioning — every organisation with the PPR module automatically gets its widget on first use; selecting a calendar creates the "PPR" scheduler line for you.
• Your own buttons — websites can open the widget from their own buttons and links; see the integration reference.

10 September 2026 — Widget experience overhaul

• A refined look and feel for the widget: own brand typography, icons per form section, a compact opener button and a sticky submit button.
• Phone field with country flags, per-country validation and as-you-type formatting.
• Review step — before sending, the pilot sees a summary of the request and accepts the privacy statement (in their language); after sending, a clear confirmation with a reference number.
• The form gained crew, passengers, aircraft category and callsign fields, and pilot-info documents download directly.

9 September 2026 — PPR module launch

• New module: PPR — handle Prior Permission Required requests from visiting pilots: review, accept or reject with a personal message, with a full audit trail. Manual entry for requests that arrive by phone. See the PPR documentation.
• E-mails — automatic acknowledgement and decision e-mails to the pilot in their own language, and staff notifications for every new request.
• Scheduler — requests appear on a calendar line of your choice with clear PENDING/ACCEPTED badges; rejected requests are removed automatically.
• Website widget — the embeddable widget for your aerodrome website: live runway status, the PPR request form and pilot information, isolated from your site's styling.

August 2026

• Pilot App — the Aircraft Technical Log (ATL) for AOC operators arrived in the Pilot App: professional flight-leg entry with mass calculation and technical-log records linked to the flight log.
• Finance — instructor purchase rates are snapshotted per flight, keeping historical statements correct when rates change.

July 2026

• Roles & permissions — a completely new role-based access system: all rights come from roles with fine-grained permissions per module and action. System roles (Administrator, Aerodrome Commander, Flight Instructor, TKI) are provided per organisation and remain client-adjustable; the admin dashboard follows each user's actual permissions.
• Technical Log (platform) — the first phase of the Aircraft Technical Log in the platform for AOC operators, integrated in the aircraft's flight log tab.
