Pilot App

Training

View your training lessons, review flight instructor feedback, and sign gradings from the Pilot App.

Last updated 2026-03-28

The Training section in the Pilot App gives student pilots access to their flight training records. You can view your lessons, review flight instructor feedback, and sign gradings.

Note

This section is only visible if you are enrolled in a flight training programme managed by your organisation.

What you see

The Training screen shows a list of your training lessons in reverse chronological order:

  • Flight date — when the lesson took place
  • Flight instructor — who conducted the lesson
  • Lesson details — the type of lesson and exercises covered
  • Duration — how long the lesson lasted

Viewing lesson details

  1. Open the Training section
  2. Tap a lesson to see its details
  3. Review:
    • Departure and arrival aerodrome
    • Aircraft used
    • Flight instructor name
    • Exercise-based gradings
    • Flight instructor remarks and suggestions for next flight

Signing gradings

After a flight instructor completes your grading, you may be asked to sign it to acknowledge the evaluation:

  1. Open the Training section
  2. Find the lesson that requires your signature
  3. Review the grading details and flight instructor remarks
  4. Sign the grading to confirm you have reviewed it

Tip

Review your flight instructor's remarks carefully before signing — they often include specific suggestions for your next lesson.

Signed gradings are visible on the platform in the Gradings tab of your training record.

How training connects to the platform

Your training data in the app corresponds to the Flight Training module on the platform:

App feature Platform equivalent
Lesson list Training list
Grading details Gradings
Flight instructor remarks Gradings remarks field
Training progress Summary dashboard

Your flight instructor and organisation administrator can see all your training data on the platform, including grading history, progress against course requirements, and flight time totals.

Common tasks

Review your latest lesson feedback

  1. Open Training
  2. Tap the most recent lesson
  3. Read the flight instructor's remarks and next-flight suggestions
  4. Use these to prepare for your next training session

Check your overall progress

Your lesson list gives you a chronological view of all completed training. For a summary of total hours, exercise completion, and progress against course requirements, ask your flight instructor to review the Summary dashboard with you.

Good practice

  • Review your training records regularly to stay aware of your progress
  • Sign gradings promptly so your flight instructor knows you have seen their feedback
  • Use the flight instructor's next-flight suggestions to prepare before each lesson
  • If you have questions about a grading, discuss them with your flight instructor before the next lesson
