Slots

Manage the bookable time slots within a flight sales event — view capacity, add slots, and adjust availability.

Last updated 2026-03-28

The Slots tab contains the actual sellable time windows within a flight sales event. Each slot represents a period during which flights can be booked.

What you see

Each slot shows:

  • Start time — when the slot begins
  • End time — when the slot ends
  • Description — optional label for the slot
  • Tickets booked — how many tickets have been sold for this slot
  • Tickets available — how many tickets are still open for booking

Managing slots

Adding a new slot

  1. Open the event in Flight Sales
  2. Go to the Slots tab
  3. Add a new slot
  4. Set the start time and end time
  5. Add a description if needed (for example: "Morning session" or "Sunset flights")
  6. Save the slot

The slot immediately becomes available for booking through the public booking link.

Reviewing slot capacity

  1. Open the Slots tab
  2. Check the tickets booked versus tickets available for each slot
  3. Slots that are fully booked will show zero available tickets
  4. Consider adding more slots if demand exceeds capacity

Adjusting a slot

  1. Find the slot you want to change
  2. Edit the times or description
  3. Save your changes

Be cautious when adjusting slots that already have booked tickets — changing times affects customers who have already booked.

Common tasks

  1. Create a new slot for the same or adjacent time period
  2. This effectively increases the number of bookable positions during that window
  3. Make sure you have enough aircraft and rotation time to support the additional slots

Check which slots still have availability

  1. Open the Slots tab
  2. Review the tickets available column
  3. Slots with availability can still accept bookings
  4. Share this information with your sales team or update your communications

Good practice

  • Plan your slot times to account for rotation time between flights
  • Do not overlap slots in ways that exceed your aircraft capacity
  • Monitor slot fill rates — if one time period is much more popular, consider adding more slots there
  • Keep slot descriptions clear so customers can easily choose the right time
  • Review slots before the event day to ensure all times are realistic and achievable
