Insights

Monitor organisational trends through dashboards covering aircraft utilisation, rental hours, subscription health, and operational movement data.

Last updated 2026-03-28

The Insights area provides a management-level view of what is happening across your organisation. It is designed for spotting trends and identifying areas that need attention — not for making detailed changes.

What you see

Depending on your organisation's configuration, the Insights area may show dashboards for:

  • Aircraft utilisation — how intensively your fleet is being used over time. Useful for identifying underused aircraft or peak demand periods.
  • Rental flight hours — trends in rental activity. Helps you understand revenue-generating flight activity.
  • Subscription health — the overall state of subscriptions across the organisation. Shows how many are active, expiring, expired, or missing.
  • Movement charts — operational movement data from the flight register, showing volume and patterns over time.

Questions Insights help answer

Use the Insights area when you want to understand high-level questions like:

  • Is aircraft usage increasing or dropping compared to last month?
  • Are memberships healthy, or are many subscriptions lapsing?
  • Is operational activity higher or lower than expected for this time of year?
  • Which aircraft types see the most rental activity?

What to do after spotting an issue

The Insights area shows you what is happening but not always why. When you notice something that needs attention, continue in the specialist module:

  • People and subscriptions — go to Relations to review individual records
  • Booking and planning — go to Schedule to check capacity and reservations
  • Aircraft — go to Fleet to review aircraft records, maintenance, and availability
  • Financial — go to Finance to investigate transactions, payments, or balances
  • Training — go to Flight Training to review student progress

Common tasks

Spot a drop in aircraft utilisation

  1. Open the Insights area
  2. Review the utilisation dashboard
  3. Identify which aircraft or time periods show reduced activity
  4. Go to Fleet to check if those aircraft have scheduling blocks, defects, or maintenance issues
  5. Go to Schedule to see if booking patterns have changed

Check subscription health across the organisation

  1. Open the Insights area
  2. Review the subscription health dashboard
  3. Note how many subscriptions are expired or expiring soon
  4. Go to Relations and filter by subscription status to follow up individually

Prepare a monthly operational report

  1. Open the Insights area
  2. Review all available dashboards (utilisation, rental hours, movements)
  3. Note key trends and figures
  4. Use these as the basis for your operational report

Good practice

  • Use Insights to identify patterns, not as the final answer — always verify with record-level data in the relevant module
  • Follow unusual trends promptly — slow changes are easier to fix when caught early
  • Check Insights regularly (weekly or monthly) so gradual shifts do not go unnoticed
  • Use Insights data to inform planning decisions, such as fleet expansion, schedule changes, or membership campaigns
