An aircraft can be shared between organisations. The owner outsources the aircraft; one or more partner organisations insource it. Each partner operates the aircraft as if it were their own — with their own rental price, billing base and scheduler placement — while all flights land in one combined technical record on the same aircraft.
Note
in- and outsourcing relationships are configured by Aerolync. Contact us to set up or change a sharing arrangement, including the partner's rental settings.
For the insourcing organisation
Once the arrangement is active, the aircraft appears in the partner organisation's fleet list and scheduler like any other aircraft:
- Pilots book and fly it through the regular reservation and Pilot App flow.
- Billing towards the pilots uses the partner's own rental price and billing base, not the owner's.
- The Flightlog tab and Excel export show only the organisation's own flights. Flights of the owner or of other insourcing partners are not visible.
For the owner
The owner keeps the complete picture of the aircraft:
- The Flightlog tab shows all flights — its own and those of every partner. Partner flights carry a badge with the partner organisation's name in the Bill to column and are read-only: they were registered by the partner and can only be edited there.
- The Excel export contains all flights as well. For partner flights the amount columns (Net Amount, VAT Amount, Billable Amount) show the aircraft cost that the partner's flight generated — the basis for invoicing the partner — and the Billable Relation column names the partner organisation.
- Counters (Hobbs and other clocks) accumulate across all operators, so maintenance thresholds reflect the aircraft's true utilisation.
Billing between the organisations
Aerolync keeps each organisation's billing strictly separated: the partner bills its own pilots, the owner bills its own pilots. The settlement between the organisations is handled outside the platform; the owner's flight log export provides the per-flight amounts to base that invoice on.
