Kiosk

Kiosk overview

Understand the Kiosk module for managing self-service endpoint availability at your airfield.

Last updated 2026-03-28

The Kiosk module is a lightweight operational control screen for managing self-service kiosk endpoints at your airfield. It is an operational switch — you use it to decide whether each kiosk should currently be available for use.

What Kiosk covers

What a kiosk is

A kiosk is a self-service endpoint at the airfield. This could be a check-in device, an information terminal, or any other self-service point that is configured in Aerolync.

When to use the Kiosk module

Use the Kiosk module when you need to:

  • Activate a kiosk — make it available for use after setup or maintenance
  • Deactivate a kiosk — temporarily disable it during maintenance, outside operating hours, or when the endpoint should not be used
  • Check kiosk status — verify which kiosks are currently active

How to use it

  1. Open Kiosk
  2. Review the list of configured kiosk devices
  3. Check each kiosk's current active status
  4. Toggle the active state as needed

The module is intentionally simple — it is not a setup or configuration tool, but a live operational switch.

Good practice

  • Disable kiosks that should not be used to prevent confusion
  • Re-enable kiosks promptly after maintenance to restore self-service availability
  • Check kiosk status at the start of operations each day
