Pilot App

Home

Use the Home screen for airfield status, flight logging, relay access, QR scanning, and airfield actions.

Home is the operational starting screen in the Pilot App.

What you see here

  • your current nearby aerodrome
  • runway and status information when available
  • the Start new flight or Close active flight action
  • quick actions such as AD Info, Access Control, Aerodrome OPS, Scan QR Code, and Home Base

How the screen behaves

The Home screen is location-aware. Buttons and status information depend on where you are, whether a flight is already active, and which permissions or features are available to you.

Main actions

Start new flight

Use this when you are about to depart and no active flight is open.

Close active flight

Use this after landing to complete the current flight.

AD Info

Shows operational information about the aerodrome, including key contacts when available.

Access Control

Shows the relay actions you are allowed to use.

Aerodrome OPS

Used in environments where aerodrome operational actions are available in the app.

Scan QR Code

Used for supported QR-based flows such as boarding pass validation or authentication-related steps.

Home Base

Opens the home base flight register screen when that feature is available.

Good practice

  • keep location access enabled while using Home
  • use Home as the entry point for flight logging
  • do not leave an active flight open longer than necessary after landing
